Education

From Pre-K to a pilot's license.

Enterprise City Schools serves the city with six elementary schools, two junior highs, Enterprise High School and a career and technology center. Enterprise State Community College and nearby Troy University carry students the rest of the way.

Gloria Sessions Ventress Memorial Scholarship

Approximately $3,000–$4,000 annually to a graduating Enterprise senior attending a four-year college. 2026 recipient: Anna Jane Lavender.

Chamber grant

Innovative Teaching Project Grant

Up to $2,500 each year to an Enterprise City Schools teacher with an innovative classroom idea. 2026: Amber Henson, Fine Art Screenprint Lab.

Corporate jets welcome.

The city-owned, public-use Enterprise Municipal Airport sits three miles southwest of downtown. Its 5,100-foot runway handles aircraft from a Hawker 800 or Gulfstream 250 to Cessna and Pilatus corporate jets and personal Piper and Beechcraft aircraft.

A recently constructed terminal offers a comfortable seating area, a computer station, local information displays, a state-of-the-art conference room for business meetings, and a courtesy vehicle for visitors. Aircraft owners have access to a newly reinforced general aviation apron and hangar rentals.
